Türkiye launches audit of Paraguay’s beef export system

Asunción, Agencia IP.- The Republic of Türkiye launched an official audit in Paraguay that will run through August 7, evaluating 11 beef export establishments as part of the approval process for access to the Turkish market. The inspection is one of the final requirements for authorizing Paraguayan beef exports to the Eurasian country.

The opening meeting was attended by José Carlos Martin, President of the Paraguayan National Animal Health and Quality Service (SENACSA), along with representatives of the diplomatic corps, members of the official audit mission, and the institution’s directors and technical staff.

Throughout the week, the Turkish delegation will assess the operation of Paraguay’s official sanitary control system, traceability procedures, and food safety conditions at export-approved meat processing plants to verify compliance with the standards required by the Turkish market.

The audit is part of the market access process initiated after Türkiye declared Paraguay an eligible country to export beef and live cattle. Approval of the inspected meat processing plants will pave the way for the start of Paraguayan beef exports to the Turkish market.
